Ten friendly animals whose scarves create a small, high-contrast target near the face.
THE ORIGINAL CAST
Forty toons. Four very different worlds.
Every Toon Shade character is assembled from original local SVG artwork. This guide reveals the target color region, the memory clue, and the HSL reference used by the game.
Why four worlds?
The worlds change the visual context around a color. The same hue can feel different beside fur, armor, a magical background, or a dark space scene. Each world contains ten characters, but the tested region stays clear enough to compare after every guess.
Ten bold figures with larger jacket regions and energetic accent colors.
Witches, spirits, and creatures with cloaks or bodies set against moody scenes.
Robots and cosmic creatures whose suits and bodies test cool and luminous palettes.
How the cast is used in play
The Daily challenge uses a date-based seed so everyone receives the same five-character sequence for that UTC day. Practice mode can draw from all worlds or from one selected world. Characters are not ranked by difficulty: a pale color may be difficult because lightness changes are subtle, while a vivid color may be difficult because hue errors stand out.
The guide intentionally shows the reference colors. During a round, you only see the complete illustration briefly; the target then turns neutral gray while you rebuild it with hue, saturation, and lightness controls.
