CHOOSE A COLOR CHALLENGE

Five ways to discover what your eyes forgot.

Every game follows the same honest loop: study a complete image, rebuild one missing color with hue, saturation, and lightness controls, then compare your memory with the reference.

Cartoon Color Memory

Meet 40 original characters across Critters, Heroes, Magic, and Space. Recolor a scarf, jacket, cloak, suit, or creature body.

World Flag Color Quiz

Restore a stripe, field, disc, or cross across 24 locally drawn country flags.

Original Pattern Memory

Remember colors inside 24 checkerboards, rings, mosaics, rays, woven bands, and pixel designs.

Everyday Object Colors

Rebuild the color of 24 original household, travel, clothing, food, music, and desk objects.

Fictional Logo-Style Marks

Test unfamiliar abstract geometry without commercial logos, company names, or learned brand palettes.

Interactive Color Lab

Experiment with HSL, RGB, HEX, and Delta E before returning to a memory challenge.

One scoring system, different kinds of memory

The character game combines color with a recognizable cast. Flags add learned geography and familiar layouts. Patterns emphasize simultaneous contrast and repetition. Everyday objects remove most standard color associations, while fictional marks remove commercial-brand familiarity.

All modes convert the reference and selected HSL colors through sRGB and XYZ into Lab coordinates, calculate Delta E 76, and map that distance to a 0–100 round score. Five rounds produce a total out of 500 and a shareable grade.

Daily and practice play

Each game has its own daily sequence. A date-based seed selects the same five items for everyone playing that theme on the same UTC date. Practice mode selects a fresh random set immediately, so one completed daily challenge never blocks another type of game.

Scores and game counts are stored locally by theme. Playing a flag challenge does not overwrite your toon, pattern, object, or fictional-mark statistics.

Original and locally rendered artwork

The toons, patterns, objects, and fictional marks are original SVG artwork served from this project. Flag layouts are local reconstructions created for color-memory play rather than embedded frames from another quiz website. No account, app installation, or remote artwork service is needed.

The fictional-mark mode deliberately excludes commercial logos and company names. It provides logo-like visual simplicity without suggesting sponsorship, copying a trademark, or turning brand recognition into the answer.

Color game FAQ

Which game should I start with?

Start with Toon Shade for character context, or Everyday Objects for a purer test where there is no learned standard color.

Do all games use five rounds?

Yes. Each round is worth up to 100 points, making totals comparable across themes.

Are the controls different between games?

No. Every mode uses the same hue, saturation, and lightness controls and the same perceptual scoring method.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. The game directory, SVG stages, sliders, comparisons, and educational sections adapt to narrow screens.
